Spotted - in Florida...

Well Josh had tweeted that he was in Miami; and the Miami Herald is reporting in their "Scene in the tropics" section --

Josh Groban, who recently made a cameo on Fox's new series Glee, was at W South Beach's WALL lounge on Friday night. The crooner showed up late with a group of friends and a security crew, took two tables and sipped on Grey Goose and Patron well into the wee hours of Saturday morning.(Source)

I found this review of Wall (sounds like a nice place to kick back after a long day in the studio)...

Possibly the most exclusive address in Miami Beach, Wall Lounge is a 3,500-square-foot nightclub tucked neatly away within the ocean-front W South Beach Hotel on Collins Avenue.

An oversize gold sofa with room for 32 serves as the club's centerpiece, and its gold and black patterned walls, lacquered bar, Cappellini stools and copper mesh ceiling provide the flash and glam. But the real key to Wall's success is its operators—Opium Group, along with Nicola Siervo and Karim Masri, who between them have given us such premier South Beach venues, as Joia, Mynt, Hotel Astor, Quattro, and most recently, Mokai.

Josh Squared: The Reunion

Joshua Bell and I got together again in NYC to record a song for his upcoming CD. It was great to work with him again and I hope, as he tours the world, that you all get a chance to experience his playing live.

As much as I like the song, I kind of wish they would have recorded something new. But that said, it sounds fantastic.

The CD will be available on September 29 2009.

The video below has been posted on YouTube. It shows some of the 'behind the scenes' from the making of the new album and features many of the artists who join Joshua including Sting, Chris Botti just to name a few. Josh comes in around the 3:47 mark

I remember his first television appearance on Ally McBeal before he hit it big. It's nice to see he hasn't lost that with all the fame and success he's received in the subsequent years. Glee - Behind the scenes...

The official Fox site for Glee has posted some behind the scenes footage from Josh's appearance on Episode 3 "Acafellas".

Sadly, I can't embed it in this post, but you can watch it here. (BTW - for some bizarre reason the video has an expiration date of 21 October, so you've got a month to watch it...)

If you follow Josh on Twitter - you might have seen this tweet a day or two ago:

** Wow trending topic and national enquirer in the same week?

Now it wasn't hard to determine that the "trending topic" referred to him making the Twitter "Trending Topics" list after his performance on Glee, but the reference to the national enquirer was a bit of a puzzle...

Well, it's been revealed that the 'font of all truth - The National Enquirer' (insert sarcasm here...) mentioned Josh in it's 28 September issue. This is what it said:

I've heard of singing for your supper, but it got ridiculous when JOSH GROBAN, lunching at the patio of LA's Joan's on Third, (nice place by the way) was rudely interrupted by two goofy girls who weren't about to settle for an autograph-instead, they literally fell to their knees as diners gawked, pleading: "Sing us a song, Josh….Please…..PLEASE!!" Looking helpless as the twenty-ish dingbats dissolved into sobs, Josh finally burst into song. When a crowd of Third Street passers-by congregated to enjoy the impromptu concert, Gentle Josh turned bright red, told a waiter to pack his chow in a doggy bag, and split.

Josh on Oprah...

Just a quick update - it's been confirmed that Josh will be appearing on a segment of the Oprah Winfrey show on September 9th.

Josh actually mentioned his appearance on his video blog from April which is below.

Glee preview pics...

The news that Josh will be making a guest appearance in the new TV series "Glee" has been out there for awhile, and today there's been an update. Josh had previously said that "I play myself but I'm definitely acting... I had to play a real jerk version of myself, so it was a lot of fun. I had to serve one of the teachers a restraining order."

Well we now have confirmation that Josh will be appearing in Episode 3 which is entitled "Acafellas" and it's scheduled to screen in the US on 16 September.

This is the episode description -

Will forms the Acafellas, an all-male acapella vocal group, and spends more time building his own confidence than he does with the glee club. In Will’s absence, the glee club decides to hire a well-known choreographer to help coach them to Nationals. Meanwhile, Mercedes is bitten by the love bug, but her feelings aren’t reciprocated. When the Acafellas perform for the P.T.A., they get a surprise visit backstage from Josh Groban (guest-starring as himself) in the “Acafellas” episode of GLEE.

I'm really excited about this and can't wait for the episode to air. Hope you enjoy the attached pics from Josh's episode.
