"All That Echoes" Official Press Release...

MULTI-PLATINUM GLOBAL SUPERSTAR JOSH GROBAN TO RELEASE SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM, ALL THAT ECHOES, ON FEBRUARY 5TH, 2013, ON REPRISE RECORDS

ALL THAT ECHOES IS AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER THROUGH AMAZON BEGINNING NOVEMBER 20TH AND ITUNES THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 27TH

November 19th, 2012 — Burbank, CA — Internationally renowned, multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban has announced that he will release his eagerly anticipated sixth studio album, entitled All That Echoes, on February 5th, 2013, on Reprise Records. All That Echoes was produced by Warner Bros. Records Chairman Rob Cavallo, who has also worked with Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, and many others. Other producers include Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson) and Lester Mendez (Shakira, Nelly Furtado).

All That Echoes will be available for pre-order via Amazon beginning November 20th and iTunes the week of November 27th. A direct-to-fan version, containing bonus material, will also be available exclusively via Groban’s website, joshgroban.com. More details about this special edition will made public in the coming weeks.

“From beginning to end, this project has blossomed with absolute joy and inspiration,” Groban says. “Together with Rob Cavallo and all the incredible collaborators, we set out to create songs that could bridge the old and the new, the light and the dark of life and love ... all that echoes in our souls. This album makes me feel good, and I hope others feel the same way.”

“Josh is a consummate musician,” Cavallo says. “He is a true talent, an unbelievable singer, and a friend who has totally inspired me. We both took risks we wouldn’t have taken without one another, and, as a result, the music flies higher than I ever thought possible. I love this album and am extremely proud of it. It’s a sonic adventure that reaches deep into the soul and I can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Groban first broke through in 2001 with his self-titled double-platinum debut album, followed by 2003’s multi-platinum Closer, featuring the smash hit "You Raise Me Up," and 2006’s double-platinum Awake. In 2007, the Grammy-nominated star became the best-selling recording artist of the year thanks to sales of Awake and his blockbuster Grammy-nominated Christmas album, Noel — the best-selling album of 2007. Groban ranks as Billboard’s 14th top-selling artist of the 2000s with more than 20 million units sold in the U.S. alone and 25 sold million worldwide. He is the only artist who has had two albums appear on the Top 20 Best-Selling Albums list of the past decade, according to Billboard. Over the last two years, Groban has completed a sold-out world tour in support of his fifth album, the platinum-selling Illuminations, appeared in the feature film Crazy, Stupid, Love, as well as on NBC’s The Office, and launched the Find Your Light Foundation, which is dedicated to enriching the lives of young people through quality arts education.

Oprah's Favorite Things - 2012 edition...

In a show aired on 20 November 2007, Josh's Christmas album made the list of Oprah's favorite.   Not all that surprising given the CD was released in October 2007.

Fast forward five years, and once again Noel has been included in Oprah's Favorite Things 2012.

Josh took to Twitter to express his appreciation.

This particular award is presented to an individual who has achieved incredible accomplishments and exemplary leadership while still early in their careers. And what better recognition for Josh, particularly given his advocacy of arts education.

This 1st clip below was played the night of the awards to prior to Josh receiving his award. The second clip was captured by one of the handful of Grobies that were in the crowd. Josh's acceptance of the award commences at around the 7:45 mark.

Josh at the Emmy's...

To the surprise of just about everyone, Josh made an appearance at the 2012 Emmy awards to sing an "In Memoriam" tribute to the host of the night, Jimmy Kimmel.

Before the show, Josh tweeted:

It certainly threw many off the scent that he would in-fact be performing a stripped back, piano only cover of One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful".  And as for the result, watch below:

After the show, Josh took once again to Twitter to apologize for keeping the secret.

And this picture was posted on his facebook page -

So now Josh's tweet from a few days ago about getting a hair cut makes total sense.

2013 Calendar...

Both Amazon and The Book Depository are advertising a Josh Groban Calendar for 2013. There's not a lot of details and from the cover shot, it looks like the pics might be those used for the "Straight To You Tour" tour book.

It's available on pre-order from:

The Book Depository (includes free shipping worldwide)

Amazon.co.uk

(At time of publishing, The Book Depository price was cheaper than Amazon - which may change over time.)

There's no news yet if the calendar will be included with any upcoming fan club renewals packages.

**Edit - Josh has responded to a tweet from a fan about the calendar and advised that it isn't official. It has been subsequently been removed from the US amazon site. Many members how had ordered it through this site have been emailed that their orders have been cancelled. However, it still appears to be available on the Amazon UK site as well as the Book Depository.

Press Release - LACHSA Benefit...

Josh Groban Raises Over Half a Million Dollars for Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and Find Your Light Foundation Through Benefit Concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall

BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 5, 2012) - Josh Groban raised over half a million dollars for his alma mater, the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA), and his own Find Your Light Foundation by performing before a sold-out crowd last week at The Music Center's Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles.

The very special event on June 28th, billed as "An Evening With Josh Groban," featured the multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and actor performing with the band who traveled with him during his recent Straight To You World Tour. Throughout the course of the concert, Groban was joined by several of LACHSA's students on some of his best-known songs, which included "February Song" (featuring two dance students), "Lullaby," "Weeping," and "You Raise Me Up," (featuring vocal students, both soloists and a choir) and "Machine" (featuring three music students on horns). Groban also called out several of his teachers from the stage to thank them for the support he received at LACHSA and tell stories about his time spent at the school. He also explained why he created the Find Your Light Foundation, and that with a combination of his personal experience and belief that the arts in children's and young adults' lives help shape and change them for the better.

"I am thrilled that we were able to raise over half a million dollars to support LACHSA and Find Your Light," Groban says. "It feels great to be able to give back to the school that gave me the foundation to explore my craft and support me while I was finding my feet as a performer. I want to thank everyone at LACHSA and those who attended the concert for enabling me to offer that same support to the students and future artists. It was truly a great night."

Recognized as one of the premier public arts high school in the U.S., LACHSA is Los Angeles County's only public, conservatory-style arts program for talented youth in dance, music, theatre, visual arts, and film. It serves 600 culturally and socioeconomically diverse teens from more than 80 school districts in the county. Fund-raising events such as this benefit concert enable LACHSA to offer conservatory-style arts training to students free of charge. Each year, the Arts High Foundation works to bridge the gap between available state funding and the actual cost of the arts programs by cultivating and soliciting gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.

Groban established the Find Your Light Foundation in 2011 as a way to enrich the lives of young people through arts, education, and cultural awareness. Groban's personal experience and his belief that early exposure to the arts helps shape young people's lives, combined with the sobering reality that such programs are on the chopping blockat many educational institutions, has made him more attuned than ever to the need to focus his efforts on helping students find their light.

On Possibly Replacing Regis...

Interview by Jeryl Brunner - Parade Magazine - June 11, 2012

Josh Groban is a man of many talents. Though he burst on the scene with his soaring voice, in subsequent years he has made a name for himself with his quirky, self-depracating humor (really, you should follow his Twitter feed! He's hilarious!), his acting chops (he played a nerdy cad alongside Emma Stone in Crazy, Stupid, Love.), and had impressive repartee with Kelly Ripa as her guest co-host on Live with Kelly.

At the Tony Awards on Sunday, he spoke to Parade.com about his love of Broadway and whether he's seriously consdering making a run at a permanent slot in Regis Philbin's former seat:

On theater being his first love.
"When I was about 10, my parents brought back a videocassette or the show "Sunday in the Park with George." The show was very intricate. And Stephen Sondheim’s music has an adult theme and is very cerebral and brainiac, especially when you are ten. But the music and melodies touched me so much. From that point on, my parents took me to great shows. I grew up in Los Angeles so my parents took me to see Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, so many great shows. So I got the bug. And then I started writing and got signed to a record deal. But my first love was theater."

On co-hosting with Kelly.
"I loved doing it. It was totally unexpected how much I enjoyed it. I loved watching the show and being on the show as a guest."

On being the permanent host.
"I don’t think they’re even close to offering the host to anybody. We’re all doing it because we love Kelly and we love the experience and I do have a day job. It’s always exciting to do the show. I have such a wonderful time that we’ll see where they decide to go with it."
