There might be a hint of an unmixed new song in there somewhere but then again there might not be. Either way, everyone is on vacation so they can’t take this down. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Save the date...

Josh will be singing the Star Spangled Banner as part of the pre-game festivities at the Citi BCS National Championship Game on Thursday 7 January, 2010.

The game, which is being held at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, CA. will feature the University of Alabama Crimson Tide against the University of Texas Longhorns. The game will be televised in the US on ABC, and for the rest of the world - check your local guides.

You can find more information about the game at www.tournamentofroses.com.

Artists of the 2000s...

Spinner magazine has just listed the top 50 artists of the decade. Josh made the list at No. 38.

From the article -

Our artists of the decade made great music, sure. Not one-and-done, either -- they knew how to repeat. Just as important, they staked their claims in the grand parade of popular culture. From Groban to Gaga, the 50 recording artists we would've had to invent if they didn't exist.

38. Josh Groban
Classically trained and plugged into pop culture, he's the next generation's Pavarotti hottie.

Obviously I thought he should have been higher on the list, but a couple of artists he did beat included John Mayer (#45), 50 Cent (#43), Keith Urban (#41) and Alicia Keys (#39). And according to Spinner the top artist of the decade is Jack White from the "White Stripes". These kind of lists always cause controversy, as to who made it, who didn't and then the position of the said artist.

Regardless of where Josh came on the list, he's my number #1, and nothing will change that.

A Night Out...

The paparazzi caught Josh as he left Madeo restaurant on Dec 14th.

The caption on this photo made me laugh - Josh Groban looked sexy in only that special way Josh Groban can as he left Madeo restaurant with some buddies last night.

Josh wanted to share his experience as he got involved with Toys for Tots. Looks like he had as much fun as any kid would in a toy shop!

This Christmas Season...

As a thank-you for visiting my blog over the year and to celebrate the festive season I'll be posting a collection of Josh's Christmas/December inspired tracks over the next few week! I hope you enjoy them.

Obscure reference...

I think I've come across one of the most obscure references to Josh. It comes from Season 3, Episode 20 of Veronica Mars.

(And thankfully Josh looks nothing like 2400 - LOL)

Out and about...

Josh joined a host of other celebrities at LA's Sunset Towers to 'celebrate' (that really doesn't sound like the right word) the release of Jennifer Anniston's yoga instructor's DVD. What next, a party to open an envelope? LOL

I wonder what happened to the cons? Or did Josh just feel like it was a Nike night?

Watch here to see TMZ's recommendation of a new man for Jennifer.

You must visit...

this site -- The Josh Groban Photo Gallery

The site has been created by Tanya from the Friends of Josh Groban (FoJG) message board and she's one of those great Groban photo detectives who always manages to find those elusive pictures of Josh before almost anyone else. She then shares her 'finds' with everyone on FoJG.

Thankfully for us, she has just launched this awesome website to store the photos she's been collecting over the past 3 years, so make sure you check it out and bookmark it as a favorite as you'll need quite a few days to enjoy the pics.

Yes, yes, yes!!!! (Pt.2)

The text reads -

JOSH GROBAN
AGE - 28
STATUS - Single
NEXT UP - He's recording his sixth studio CD

I Don't Get It, But I'll Take It
(Sung with extreme country twang)...

Sometimes just like all of us
It's hard for me to see
The compliments that others
are so kind to give to me
Cause growing up a nerdy guy
Geek chic to say the least
It's kinda cool that I'll be looked at
like a piece of meat
I don't get it
but I'll take it
It's just too good to be true
Mom always says I'm handsome
and now People thinks so too
And if you're reading this & wondering
"Could this all happen to me?"
Just remember that it's sexy
to be looked at differently
Oooh I don't get it...
But I sure as hell will take it

Feeding America...

Here's a clip featuring a number of celebrities showing their support for Feeding America. Josh is shown at around 1:12.

You might remember that while Josh was in Washington for the Inauguration earlier this year, he teamed up with Martin Luther King III, actor David Arquette and Herbie Hancock to support the non-profit group Feeding America. People were asked to donate the food or money they would have spent on lunch to help tackle hunger. You can get more information at http://feedingamerica.org/.

MusiCares...

Music News Net is reporting that Josh will be joining a host of other stars to pay tribute to Neil Young at the 2010 MusiCares gala to be held in Los Angeles on Friday 29 January, 2010. Other stars performing include Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, k.d. Lang, Dave Matthews, Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Taylor, John Mellencamp, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Wilco, and Jackson Browne.

Back in 2008, Josh joined Neil at his Bridge School Benefit where they shared the stage in this great version of Harvest Moon.

And should you wish to re-live the memories of Josh's other Bridge School performances (including performing with the Smashing Pumpkins), you can go to this blog entry.

Looking good...

The anticipation is over and the new JoshGroban.com website has been launched.

Josh posted a blog to announce the launch -

New Website!!

I am proud to announce that the new JoshGroban.com 1.0 has been launched! As I look at it now and as I see the plans for it in my computer bag, it feels pretty naked. Rest assured the glitches will be fixed ASAP and the message board in its entirety will be transfered over like nuthin happened. Also, by the end of this week there are more design concepts I'd like to throw into it. Basically its still going to get a whole lot better but in the meantime, I hope you dig it…everyone worked super hard on it and I'm excited to see it grow with all of you until the album comes out! Enjoy!

J

And on the new home page, Josh posted this message -

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the new website! First let me tell you all that this is and will continue to be a work in progress until the new album is released next year. It will be a constantly shifting and breathing home base for all of us to connect and it will only get better with all of your contributions. It feels pretty bare right now as I know there's so much more footage/music/pictures being integrated in the coming months that you will all hopefully enjoy very much. So navigate around, find your friends, and enjoy! And thank you as always for making this community a group of the greatest fans around.

Lots of love,
Josh

And Josh just posted this on Twitter.

So make sure you check out the new website at www.joshgroban.com. And yes, I like the new look. LOL

A return to Glee???

Access Hollywood are reporting that Josh mentioned on the OneXOne red carpet that he will be returning to the series and will do one more episode.

How totally awesome... Fingers crossed it comes off (& maybe this time he'll get to sing).

OneXOne...

For the second year in a row, Josh was a guest performer at the OneXOne charity fundraiser in San Fransisco on Thursday October 22. Other stars at the even included Charlize Theron and Jeremy Piven. OneXOne is a charitable organization committed to fighting health issues and preserving the lives of children locally and globally.

Josh performed two songs, "Smile" and my personal favorite "Changing Colors". I'll post any video when & if I find it.

Here's a video from the red carpet where we find out what tv show Josh was into as a kid and what would be in his emergency earthquake kit. LOL

Remember (Pt. 2)...

Ok, so just over a week ago I posted an entry remembering Josh's contribution at the Stand Up 2 Cancer event in 2008. (The entry can be viewed here.)

Anyway, I just wanted to say that Josh's tweet from today made me so happy...

Having a family member currently battling her own personal battle against this horrible disease, it great to see Josh's continued support for this cause. After all there would be very few people in the world that don't know someone who has had this awful disease.

It's one more thing that makes me so proud to be a fan...
